Epic Mickey creator 'would love to make a 3DS game'

Nintendo's newly-revealed 3DS console has been given a glowing appraisal from one of the most respected names in the games industry.

Warren Spector, creator of Deus Ex and the ambitious new Wii-exclusive Disney game Epic Mickey, has described the console as "nothing short of magical" and said he is hoping to create games for the system at some point.

The game designer, writing on his official blog, said the console's 3D effects looked "perfect" when he got to try out the machine at the recent E3 industry event, while praising the range of hardware features and games it is set to deliver.

Mr Spector said the console is equally exciting from a designer's point of view, saying he is already trying to think of ways that his games could take advantage of its motion controls and 3D camera.

He added: "Nintendo deserves to sell a gazillion of these things. And I want the first one off the line!"

The legendary designer had a busy E3 as his new title Epic Mickey, a morality-based tale which sees Mickey Mouse looking to restore order to a dark world using a magic paintbrush, was also on display at the show.
