Uncharted 2 sweeps Annual Interactive Achievement Awards

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has reinforced its position as the most critically-lauded title of 2009 after sweeping all before it at the Annual Interactive Achievement Awards (AIAS).

Naughty Dog's cinematic PlayStation 3 adventure title won ten prizes at the ceremony in Las Vegas, including nods for its graphics, gameplay, sound and story, as well as the overall prize for Game of the Year.

The game has already been revealed as the best-reviewed title of 2009, according to rankings compiled by aggregator website Metacritic, while it is also up for seven prizes at the upcoming Game Developers Choice Awards.

Innovative DS adventure title Scribblenauts was the next biggest winner at the show, taking home three prizes, while the acclaimed comic book adventure Batman: Arkham Asylum claimed two.

Both Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Batman: Arkham Asylum are also among the nominees for the GAME Award of 2009 at the upcoming GAME British Academy Video Games Awards, on which players can vote online to determine their favourite.
