Composer Jack Wall returns for Mass Effect 2

Developer BioWare has confirmed that Mass Effect music composer Jack Wall has returned to write music for the forthcoming sequel Mass Effect 2.

The gamemaker has once again recruited Mr Wall to deliver an epic science-fiction soundtrack for the Xbox 360 and PC title, combining futuristic effects with powerful, emotional orchestral swells.

Nearly three hours of sounds have been produced by the composer and his music team for the new game, which follows the adventures of the heroic Commander Shepard on a dangerous new mission to the deadliest parts of the galaxy.

The musician promised players that Mass Effect 2 will feature an even more dramatic and engaging story than its predecessor did.

He added that his score will "complement the scope and intensity of the gameplay while captivating the players and drawing them deeper into the story".

Mass Effect 2 is out at the end of this month, while BioWare recently confirmed to IGN that it has already started work on Mass Effect 3, which will conclude the trilogy.
