Mass Effect 2 'will feature post-game bonuses'

Gamers looking forward to the upcoming Mass Effect 2 have been informed that the title will continue to throw up new experiences even after they complete its epic story.

Developer BioWare has revealed via its official forum that the Xbox 360 and PC title will feature New Game +, a mode included in the first Mass Effect which allows players to replay the adventure using the same character.

This means they will be able to experience the story again using a fully powered-up Commander Shepard, carrying forward all of the weapons and abilities they acquired on their first play-through.

BioWare also revealed that unlike the first game, Mass Effect 2 will allow gamers to continue exploring the galaxy on a completed save file.

This will prove useful to completionists looking to finish off all of the title's many subplots or play through optional downloadable quests.

Mass Effect 2 is to be released later this month and will feature an all-star cast including the likes of Martin Sheen and Carrie-Anne Moss.
