All-star cast confirmed for Mass Effect 2

BioWare has revealed that an all-star cast of Hollywood actors and sci-fi veterans are to be featured in its upcoming sci-fi epic Mass Effect 2.

Familiar names such as The West Wing's Martin Sheen, Memento's Carrie-Anne Moss and Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer will all be lending their voices to characters in the PC and Xbox 360 title, which launches next month.

Other famous actors confirmed by BioWare for its new game are Michael Dorn from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Serenity's Adam Baldwin, in addition to returning cast members like Seth Green and Keith David.

Dr Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare, expressed confidence that the new game's cast is even better than that of the first Mass Effect, which included the likes of Marina Sirtis and Lance Henriksen.

He said: "Emotionally engaging narrative is a key design pillar for BioWare and the top-notch voice talent in Mass Effect 2 helps drive this goal."

Last month, the developer released its fantasy epic Dragon Age: Origins, which features the voices of Tim Curry and Kate Mulgrew.
