Gamers who are looking forward to getting their hands on RPG shooter Mass Effect 2 in the new year will have the option of buying a special edition version of the title.
The title's developer BioWare has announced plans to launch the collectors' edition alongside the standard game when it hits shelves in January - the main visual difference will be that the former comes in a tin case.
According to the firm, in addition to the full version of the game, the special edition will comprise a 48-page hardcover book entitled Art of Mass Effect 2, the first issue of the Mass Effect redemption comic book and a bonus DVD.
Commenting on the release, BioWare co-founder Dr Ray Muzyka said: "The limited edition comic book and bonus DVD will really enhance and expand the overall Mass Effect 2 experience."
The title will be available on Xbox 360 and PC, and is rumoured to be the second part of what is likely to be a Mass Effect trilogy.
