The newest racing game from Codemasters has been confirmed to feature a 45-strong list of some of the most popular names in music, such as Queens of the Stone Age, Franz Ferdinand, Prodigy and The Stone Roses.
Gavin Raeburn, executive producer at Codemasters, said: "The Colin McRae DiRT 2 soundtrack features a stunning line-up of original music that captures the high-energy atmosphere of the game."
The new title for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, DS and PSP is set to offer some of the series' fastest and most varied racing action to date, offering more than 100 events across a range of locales, including London, Malaysia and Los Angeles.
Racing fans will be hoping it can emulate the success of the first Colin McRae DiRT, which won praise for its authentic graphics, racing physics and fun, accessible gameplay.
