Map Pack 2 released for Call of Duty: World at War

Videogames developers Treyarch and Activision have decided to reward the diehard fans of their first-person wartime shooter Call of Duty: World at War with a new map pack.

Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers were able to download Map Pack 2 last night on their console, which includes four new gaming areas available for single or multiplayer.

Included is the Banzai map, which consists of jungles in Japanese controlled territory, Corrosion, set in war-torn Russia, Sub Pens, which is based in an abandoned Japanese submarine, and Shi No Numa, a swamp filled with zombies.

Mark Lamia, studio head of Treyarch, commented: "We can't wait for [fans] to play what we have been working on with our new competitive multiplayer maps, and our latest co-op Zombie map, that reveals some exciting surprises."

Players who enjoy Call of Duty: World at War are sure to be fans of past releases in the series, which include Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
