Halo Wars gets UK revenge in Australia

Following on from the most recent gaming chart in the UK, the roles of the top have been reversed in Australia.

In the UK, Killzone 2 held off the challenge of fellow debuting title Halo Wars to lead the way, but the Xbox 360 exclusive has gained revenge in Australia.

According to GfK Australia, for the week beginning February 23rd Halo Wars took the throne ahead of the PlayStation 3 exclusive.

Wii Fit has claimed third spot down under, while the PlayStation 3 version of Street Fighter IV takes fourth position, one spot ahead of the Xbox 360 edition.

Mario Kart Wii falls one place from the previous week to take sixth, with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II witnessing solid second week sales to sit in seventh.

There are also top ten positions for the Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection and House of the Dead: Overkill.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed by game developer Bungie that over one million online multiplayer matches of Halo 3 have been played, meaning that the Halo franchise continues to be followed and enjoyed.
