New Assassin's Creed game leaks

Assassin's Creed Victory leaked

We probably don't deserve a prize for guessing that there'll be a new Assassin’s Creed game on the shelves in Autumn 2015, but we certainly didn't expect to know so much about it already.

The game will apparently be called Assassin’s Creed: Victory, and it's set in Victorian London – a setting that fans have been clamouring for. The news comes from a leaked gameplay video, received by Kotaku. Ubisoft has confirmed that the video is genuine and the game is, indeed, the next in the blockbuster saga.

The video shows an assassin surveying the crowded streets of London before taking on a mission. At one point, he lowers his hood and swaps it for a top hat, to better blend in with the population. He's also seen using a grappling hook to climb more quickly, and fighting enemies on top of moving carriages. The report suggests that the game is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

“It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked,” Ubisoft told PC Gamer. “And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date.”

Whilst we wait for that official announcement of Assassin's Creed: Victory, we're happily sneaking through Assassin's Creed Unity on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and Assassin's Creed Rogue on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
