Bloodborne delayed to March 2015

Bloodborne on PlayStation 4 delayed until 27th March 2015

Sony has announced that Bloodborne, the PlayStation 4 exclusive from the creators of Dark Souls, will suffer a slight delay. The game had been aiming for a February 2015 release, but will now hit shelves on 27 March 2015.

The reason is to give From Software, the developer famous for the gruelling Dark Souls games, a little more time to make changes based on the recent alpha trial. "We were really grateful for all the player data and feedback we received from those who took part in our recent limited alpha test," reads the update on Sony's blog, "and this extra development time will allow us to better integrate these learnings into the game."

Bloodborne reportedly won't be as demanding as Dark Souls, but still retains From's ominous design stylings. An action RPG, it favours a more aggressive and risky combat style than the block, roll and counter skirmishes of Souls. For example, if an enemy manages to take some of your health, you'll be able to win it back if you retaliate and score a hit quickly enough. You'll also get transforming weapons and other cool features.

Sony ends its update by promising "some exciting Bloodborne news in early December" so it seems there's more to come on this one.

Once again, Bloodborne will now launch on 27th March 2015, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
