First Light, the upcoming standalone spin-off from openworld super-powered adventure inFamous: Second Son, will be getting a retail disc release in September, Sony has confirmed.
The expansion stars Abigail Fetch Walker, a recovering addict you meet during Second Son who uses her conduit abilities to hunt down drug dealers. The story is a prequel explaining how she got her powers, and will feature an entirely new location called Curdun Cay. You'll also be able to revisit Seattle, should you want some openworld city-based mayhem. Unlike Delsin Rowe, Fetch's powers are neon-related, so don't expect the gameplay to be identical to the full game from last year.
First Light will be released digitally on August 27th, but for anyone whose internet connection isn't up to the task of downloading new generation console games (they're big!) then the disc release will follow on September 10th.
You don't need to own Second Son to play First Light, but if you have played both games you'll unlock fun exclusive content as a reward.
inFamous: Second Son is out now for PlayStation 4.
