Quantum Break confirmed for 2015

Remedy Entertainment, the developer behind Max Payne and Alan Wake, has announced that Quantum Break, its long-awaited Xbox One exclusive will be released in 2015.

The project piqued interest when revealed alongside Microsoft's console for its bold transmedia approach. Always a studio devoted to storytelling and characters, Remedy is really pushing the envelope for Quantum Break. As well as a blockbuster action game, it will also come packaged with an entire season of a live action TV show. Since the show will be stored on the Xbox, your actions in the game will be reflected in the episodes, as alternate versions of scenes and storylines are seamlessly woven into the series.

“The game is about heroes. The show is about villains,” Remedy's head writer Sam Lake explains. “In the game, you play Jack Joyce in a desperate fight to stop the fracture that threatens to cause the end of time. In the show, in the style of an edgy modern TV series, you follow the schemes and power play inside Monarch, the corporation that’s Jack’s main enemy.”

Remedy also promised that we'll learn more about how Quantum Break will work at the Gamescom show in August.
