Lego Batman will return... in space

LEGO Batman 3 Announced.

Warner Bros and TT Games have unveiled this Autumn's Lego game, and it's a continuation of the best-selling Lego Batman saga.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will see the Caped Crusader and his Justice League buddies heading into outer space to tackle the intergalactic threat of Brainiac. This alien android threatens the whole world, meaning our superheroes are forced to team up with villains like Lex Luthor and Joker to defeat this common enemy.

Batman and Robin will each have their own array of supersuits, including a jetpack costume that allows Batman to fly provided he's collected enough fuel, but other characters will have different looks and abilities this time too. Cyborg, for example, will have the ability to grow into a gigantic robot or enter stealth mode by disguising himself as a washing machine. The Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman will also return, no doubt with dozens of other DC Comics legends.

There will also be different gameplay types, with hacking minigames and even parts where the game turns into a 2D shoot-em-up.

As with all Lego titles, it's easier to list the platforms it won't be available on. Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is out this Autumn for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation Vita, 3DS and PC. Phew.
