The Sims 4 will be at E3

We've not heard much about The Sims 4 since it was announced last August. The game promises to reinvent the evergreen life simulation series with a new flexible and intuitive suite of creative tools, and revamped Sims AI that makes the characters more lifelike than ever, with deeper emotions and relationships that work on multiple levels.

Then, in October, it was announced that the game was being pushed back to autumn 2014 rather than its planned March release.

That's the last we heard, until today when executive producer Rachel Franklin tweeted "Hey Simmers. Confirming all the rumors. Yes, The Sims 4 will be at E3". Later, she added "We have so much to show," in reply to a tweet from a Sims fansite. All that has been seen previously was a trailer, so it seems likely that there'll at least be a live demonstration of the new features, or even a fully playable demo.

New features confirmed for The Sims 4 include Create A Sim, a system that lets the player sculpt their characters by hand - "it’s like playing with clay, but less messy" explained the EA press release. Build Mode has also been streamlined, allowing you to add and change entire rooms by dragging and dropping them into place rather than constructing them wall by wall.

The Sims 4 is due for PC later this year.
