Activision has hinted that Devastation, the next DLC map pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, will include the legendary alien hunter from Predator. It follows previous map pack, Onslaught, which featured famous slasher movie killer Michael Myers from Halloween as a special character on the Fog map.
Activision and developer Infinity Ward teased the Predator connection in a short Instagram video showing a jungle temple. We hear the iconic guttural clicks of the Predator, before the monster itself - in its semi-invisible cloaked form - drops into view and rushes at the player. A full length trailer, released shortly after, confirmed the Predator cameo, showing the monster in full on new map, Ruins. The Predators are no stranger to gaming, of course, and were most recently seen in the 2010 reboot of Aliens vs Predator.
The Devastation DLC includes three more new maps - Behemoth, Unearthed and Collisions - as well as Mayday, the second episode of the new Extinction co-op storyline. You'll also get a bonus multiplayer weapon, the two-in-one Ripper which alternates between SMG and Assault Rifle fire modes.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is out now for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. Devastation launches on Thursday April 3rd for Xbox One and Xbox 360, and will follow on other platforms later.
