Warner Bros has released details of the planned Knightfall DLC for upcoming Batman game, Arkham Origins, and confirmed that the extra content will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version of the game.
The Knightfall Pack will contain five challenge maps and two character skins. Fans of Batman will know from the title what the story behind them is - Knightfall is the storyline from the comics in which Bane breaks Batman's back, forcing him to hand the cape and cowl over a new vigilante known as Azrael. Unfortunately, Azrael turns out to be a bit of a nutter, so Bruce Wayne has to fight his way back to fitness to reclaim his role as Gotham's protector. Elements of the same story were, of course, used for last year's blockbuster movie, The Dark Knight Rises.
The challenge maps go by the names "Azrael Does Not Protect", "City on Fire", "Venom Connection", "Turning Point" and "No Rest for the Wicked". Three are combat maps, the other two are stealthy Predator challenges. The pack also comes with an Azrael themed character skin, and - completely unconnected with that dark chapter in Batman's career - a costume modelled on the delightfully silly 1960s Adam West TV show.
Batman: Arkham Origins is out for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on October 25th.
