F1 2013 dated

Codemasters has announced a release date for this year's official Formula 1 video game. F1 2013 will hit the tarmac on October 4th, just in time for the last two thrilling months of the 2013 F1 season.

The game will make full use of the official license, featuring all eleven teams and twenty-two drivers competing in the 2013 season, racing across nineteen circuits and every Grand Prix. The game will even have something to offer those who feel the sport has become too sterile and predictable, with a Classic Edition offering free access to bonus DLC packs which will include drivers, cars and tracks from the 1980s and 1990s.

You'll be able to mix and match the content as well, using old cars on new tracks or testing today's top drivers on the most famous tracks of yesteryear. In a rather delightful additional touch, good old Murray Walker will return to the microphone to commentate on these retro races.

F1 2013 will be out for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 4th.
