It's certain to be the biggest game of the year, but Rockstar has just announced two editions of Grand Theft Auto V that will make this already tantalising game even more desirable.
The Special Edition, exclusive to GAME, contains a collectible steelbook packed with exclusive artwork and a 21.5" x 26.75" blueprint map of Los Santos that marks the location of useful cash-making opportunities. In-game you'll find that the special abilities of main characters Michael, Franklin regenerate 25 per cent faster, and you'll also have access to additional stunt plane challenges, bonus outfits and customisation items, while the Pistol .50, Bullpup Shotgun and melee Hammer will all be free when you visit ammo shops.
Alternatively, the Collector's Edition comes in a hefty foil embossed box which contains a GTA V money bag, of the kind you would find should you happen to enter a bank vault for any reason, and a rather attractive Los Santos baseball cap. In-game, you'll start with a garage containing a 1930s style Hotknife hotrod car and the CarbonRS sports bike. In Grand Theft Auto Online, Collector's Edition players also get access to classic GTA characters and the high-end Khamelion electric car.
Even if neither of those appeal, everyone who preorders the game will get a giant Atomic Blimp to fly around the city. And who doesn't love a free blimp?
Grand Theft Auto V is out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17th.
