PlayStation 4: The Games!

The curtain may have been drawn back on the PlayStation 4, but what will we be playing on the thing? SONY has announced ten new titles, including some mouth-watering exclusives, with more on the way.

From SONY's own studios come two classic franchises, muscled up for next generation. Guerilla Games is working on Killzone: Shadow Fall, planned as a launch title. This will be an FPS, of course, but we're promised a "new world, a new situation and a new hero". It looks stunning, naturally.

Sucker Punch, meanwhile, is offering Infamous: Second Son. Set seven years after the events of the previous games, you'll play as Delsin Rowe, a young directionless slacker who discovers he has the ability to direct, control and transform into smoke. Seattle will be the city you'll be romping around in your reluctant superhero (or maybe supervillain) guise.

Capcom is working on a new fantasy RPG for the system called Deep Down, while LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule showcased an untitled new game which saw the team manipulating on-screen puppets using Move controllers. Acclaimed indie developer Jonathan Blow took the stage to announce that The Witness, his long awaited openworld mystery follow up to Braid, will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

Platforming fans will be catered for by Knack, a new game from Mark Cerny and SONY's Japan studio. Cerny was instrumental in such series as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank, so you know it'll be lovely.

We also now know that Ubisoft's promising cyberpunk openworld game Watch Dogs will come to PlayStation 4 as well as current gen consoles, as will Bungie's massive sci-fi social shooter Destiny. Blizzard's Diablo III will also come to the console, as well as PlayStation 3.

Also incoming are a new Final Fantasy game from Square Enix, and team-based racing game Drive Club from the folks at Motorstorm studio Evolution.

And that's just the games that have been announced so far. Expect even more once industry events like E3 and Gamescom start cranking up the hype.
