Dead Space 3 gets bigger and better

Created by Visceral Games, a studio of gamers who want to make games for gamers, Dead Space 3 brings a change of tactics that may well bring a host of new gamers to the series for the first time.

With more of a focus on action than the horror of the previous games, this Dead Space is bigger all the way round. Isaac Clark returns and the action takes place in space, in ships, in corridors and in the wide open hostile environments of the ice planet.

Dead Space 3 also offers a deep back story. The origins of the characters and the ice planet get explored, and a lot of the questions that fans have been asking finally become answered.

Necromorphs return along with several new enemies, including some that are sensitive to light and sound. Chose to deal with them with your torch or your plasma gun - you decide! Epic boss fights are still a big part of the game, and for the first time there is combat with other humans. Dead Space 3 also features a unique cover system with smarter AI.

The third in the series introduces campaign drop-in/drop-out co-op with Isaac being joined by John Carver, a family man who's life hasn't been going so well. The full single-player campaign is available in this co-op mode with extra cut scenes and context to make sense in co-op play.
