One of Capcom's oldest franchises will be colliding with one of its newest in a special Street Fighter-themed downloadable content pack for the upcoming action game Asura's Wrath.
The publisher has revealed details of post-launch DLC for the new Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 adventure that sees the eponymous rage-filled deity Asura taking on famous Street Fighter characters in battle, including karate master Ryu.
It will be the third batch of DLC released for the new game, with two earlier packs set to add extra story content set between the episodes of the main plot, while introducing dramatic new visual styles inspired by the world of anime.
Asura's Wrath is due out next month and has been developed in collaboration with CyberConnect2, the team behind the Naruto franchise and the acclaimed Nintendo DS game Solatorobo: Red the Hunter.
The game offers a unique cinematic experience, blending visceral action and gargantuan bosses with a new storytelling approach.
As players experience the tale of a banished god's quest for vengeance, they will be able to direct the action even during cutscenes, affecting the main gameplay sequences in different ways.
