Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D demo out this week

Gamers will be able to try out the much-anticipated Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D on Nintendo 3DS via a free playable demo released this week.

Coming to the Nintendo eShop, the trial version of Konami's stealth action game will allow players to get their first glimpse of Metal Gear Solid in full 3D on Nintendo's handheld, as well as get to grips with its new controls and exclusive features.

A revamped version of the PlayStation 2 classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the Cold War adventure is a prequel to the Metal Gear saga and sees secret agent Snake sent to a Russian jungle in order to rescue a kidnapped scientist.

On Nintendo 3DS, players can use the Touch Screen to easily view their map and radar or select new items, while gyro controls help Snake keep his balance when navigating hostile terrain.

The game also supports the Circle Pad Pro attachment for more refined controls, as well as allowing players to use real-life photos as camouflage patterns.

Snake Eater is one of the titles included in the recent Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which has proven a huge home console hit this month.
