Devil May Cry HD Collection confirmed for April 2012

Capcom has confirmed that the forthcoming Devil May Cry HD Collection will be made available in Europe in April 2012.

The new release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will allow fans of the series to enjoy remastered versions of the first three games in the acclaimed action series, which has sold more than ten million units worldwide.

2001's original PlayStation 2 classic Devil May Cry will be joined by Devil May Cry 2 and the special edition version of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, with each title featuring a high-definition visual overhaul, plus bonus content.

The HD Collection will be the perfect way for long-time fans and newcomers alike to get acquainted with the adventures of the white-haired half-demon warrior Dante, who has become a hugely popular gaming hero.

Dante recently appeared as a guest character in crossover fighting game Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, while gamers will soon be able to explore his roots in the next instalment of the series, titled DmC.

Coming next year, DmC is a collaboration between Capcom and British studio Ninja Theory, the team behind Heavenly Sword and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.
