James Noir's Hollywood Crimes coming to 3DS this month

Nintendo 3DS owners will need to put their thinking caps on this month when Ubisoft releases its puzzling new title James Noir's Hollywood Crimes on the handheld console.

The new game from Ubisoft Montreal is set in 1960s Hollywood and sees players taking part in a TV game show that gathers the best puzzle-solvers in America to compete against each other.

However, events soon take a sinister turn when a criminal mastermind starts killing former winners, meaning gamers will need to investigate crime scenes and piece together the evidence, before they fall victim to the murderer themselves.

More than 140 puzzles and riddles will be included in James Noir's Hollywood Crimes, including number and word-based conundrums, mazes, physics challenges and more.

The game immerses players in an interactive 3D movie using the console's in-built cameras, allowing the villain to provoke you using your real-life details and location.

Touch and motion-controlled challenges will be offered in abundance, with the difficulty level automatically adjusting to match the player's skill.
