Face Kart: Photo Finish, to be published by Majesco and developed by Renegade Kid, will allow players to use the new console's in-built 3D camera to snap pictures of themselves that can then be used for various purposes in-game.
Photos can be mapped onto characters, landscapes and power-ups for a fully personalised experience, with a range of customisation options set to be available for both player avatars and vehicles.
The title will also feature all the gameplay mechanics fans have come to expect from the kart racing genre, including a wide selection of tracks, drift-based cornering and over-the-top jumps.
Majesco boss Jesse Sutton said: "We're incredibly excited about the potential of the Nintendo 3DS."
The hotly-anticipated new device, which displays 3D graphics without the need for any special eyewear, will be coming to UK stores on March 25th 2011.
