Eurosport, Aardman to provide 3D content for 3DS

Nintendo has revealed that its new console the 3DS will be home to exclusive 3D video content from a number of providers.

Eurosport and BSkyB are teaming up with the gaming giant to bring stereoscopic 3D media to the hotly-anticipated device, meaning owners will be able to watch sports and Sky 3D clips on their handheld.

In addition, Wallace and Gromit creator Aardman Animations has signed up to create brand-new short movies especially for the device.

A series of short films starring the ever-popular Shaun the Sheep are currently in the works and, like all 3DS content, will be viewable in three dimensions without the need for special glasses.

The news will help to further stoke anticipation for the 3DS, the successor to the UK's biggest-selling console ever, the Nintendo DS.

European gamers will be able to get their hands on the machine from March 25th onwards, with more than 30 games set to be available during the launch window.
