Where can I find GAME's Preowned offering?
Our website clearly shows if a product has a Preowned alternative in bright yellow text, both in the Search Results page and on product pages. You can also click the Preowned Chart tab on the homepage or any platform page to see the most popular Preowned products. You can also check out our Preowned multibuy offers.
In most GAME Stores, our Preowned offering can be found in the central shelves, awaiting your bargain browsing pleasure!
Will my Preowned game be in a proper box with a manual?
Yes. All Preowned games come with a box and, in most cases, a manual - everything that a mint game would have.
Will my disc be scratched when it arrives?
We check all discs to ensure they are in a suitable condition, however, there may be minor blemishes on the surface of the disc, but this should not affect playability.
What if my disc doesn't work?
You can return it, via mail or alternatively in-store. Preowned games are subject to the same Returns Policy as mint software.
Can I return a Preowned game purchased Online to my local GAME Store?
If it won't work, then you can indeed - just make sure you have your invoice as proof of purchase, and your Reward Card if it was used in the transaction. You will be offered an exchange for a working copy of the same game, or a refund if none are available. Should the latter be the case, a game (or games) or Gift Card of applicable value may be offered as an alternative.
As per our Returns Policy, you cannot return a Preowned game if the seal is broken for any reason other than the game not working. Disliking your purchase is not a valid reason for return.
Can I trade in my Preowned games?
Yes, and you'll get the same trade-in value on a title whether you bought it new or Preowned. Buying a Preowned game, playing it, then trading it in for another Preowned title is actually the cheapest and best value way to experience new games!
Are there different grades of condition (mint, v. good, poor, etc) for a Preowned game?
No. All of our Preowned stock is checked upon trade-in and if needed it is reconditioned to the best possible quality. A game either meets our high quality control standards, or we don't stock it.
Why can't I buy Preowned PC titles?
Many PC titles come with CD keys which register that copy of the game to a specific machine. This effectively prevents us from offering a Preowned option on PC games.
What about games with data stored on cartridge?
Some hardware units have the capacity to store data and images. Whilst every effort has been made to remove these from the unit, this cannot be guaranteed in every instance. GAME does not accept liability for any previous user content that might be retained on the Hardware unit.
Will my Preowned console have the cables/leads needed, and also come with a box and controller like new consoles do?
Preowned consoles may not come in the original packaging, but as with mint hardware, will come in a box complete with everything required to play the console.
Do I get a guarantee with my console?
Our Preowned consoles have the same 12 month guarantee as new consoles.
Can I trade in a console I bought Preowned?
Absolutely. As with our games, it doesn't matter how many owners a console has had, you will get the same basic price when you trade it in - provided it all works and is in suitable condition, of course!
Can I take out a GAMEcare agreement on a Preowned console?
Yup. The GAMEcare agreement is available for that added peace of mind on both new and Preowned consoles (except PS2). Find out more about GAMEcare
