Accompanying the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV will be the Rockstar Social Club - which is one club all GTA gamers will want to join. Acting a little like Bungie.net does for the Halo series, the Rockstar Social Club website will be open to anyone with an Xbox Live Gamertag or PlayStation Network ID, and will support the gameplay of Grand Theft Auto IV with a host of community-oriented features:
Sign up to the Grand Theft Auto IV Rockstar Social Club website to enjoy the following Features:
- LCPD Police Blotter: The Liberty City Police Department Blotter is a virtual map of the city which compiles data from the singleplayer campaigns of every registered GTA IV player, charting the most dangerous areas of town, most popular weapons and more.
- The Story Gang: When (and if!) you complete Grand Theft Auto IV, you’ll be on The Story Gang leaderboard, which ranks players in order of how long it took to finish Niko Bellic’s adventure. Special badges will be on offer for those on the leaderboard, representing their achievements within the game.
- The 100% Club: One for players who have finished Grand Theft Auto IV in its entirety, with every mission completed. The first 10 people to achieve this will earn a special Key to the City, while the Rockstar Social Club’s 100% Club section will also keep track of times, displaying the GTA IV 100% fastest finishers.
- Hall of Fame: There will be tons of timed missions and high score opportunities throughout Grand Theft Auto IV, and the Rockstar Social Club Hall of Fame is the place to find out where you rank against the rest of the world., displaying your in-game landmarks on your profile for all the world to see.
- The Liberty City Marathon: This is where the Rockstar Social Club tracks your overall stats for Grand Theft Auto IV – from miles walked to bullets fired, stunts jumped and much, much more!
