  • The Nintendo 3DS is to receive its first wrestling game this November with the launch of WWE All Stars on the handheld console.

A new version of the popular PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title, WWE All Stars features an expansive range of wrestling stars from the past and present, giving players the chance to create fantasy face-offs.

Superstars such as John Cena, The Rock, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage and Triple H are all included in the roster, while the 3DS edition will also include 13 characters who were only previously available as downloadable content, such as R-Truth and Chris Jericho.

Among the all-new features for the 3DS release are two new modes: Gauntlet, which lets players battle every character in the game back-to-back, and Score Scramble, in which gamers must race to achieve a certain score within the time limit.

Danny Bilson of publisher THQ said: "We feel this gameplay experience and over-the-top energy will translate well to a handheld format."

This November is set to be an exciting month for fans of WWE, as THQ will also be launching WWE 12 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.

    Published: 02/09/2011

  • When WWE '13 launches on the Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 this autumn, it will be a chance to revisit a classic 'Attitude' era of the sport/entertainment/dance show. Featuring characters including Chris Jericho, Undertaker and Steve Austin to name just a few, THQ is promising improvements to many areas of this latest game in the hugely successful WWE series, including the audio, commentary and crowd participation elements.

"WWE'13 is certain to ignite our enthusiastic, worldwide fan base and encourage them to live a revolution that simply cannot be ignored, " gushed THQ's brand executive Sean Ratcliffe.

"WWE Live will bring the impassioned WWE live event experience into the living rooms of consumers, while critical core gameplay improvements and a serious dose of attitude will enable them to experience WWE action like never before."

WWE '13 is scheduled to be released in America on 30th October, while a European date has yet to be confirmed.

Awesome!!!
Being a huge WWE fan as it is, I am attempting to restrain myself from being bias here, but here it goes ... This, to be quite frank, is the game any brand of wrestling fans, live for. It's new Create A Arena and Comeback Attack was a delight to me. Secondly the graphics were a hundred times better than last years game. The moves in the game are much more realistic than last years game. Then we have new WWE Superstars, Divas and Legends such as Kharma, Sin Cara, Alberto Del Rio and much more. It also has legendary superstars from the previous games such as Shawn Micheals, Triple H, Randy Orton, The Undertaker, and of course, how can I forget, John Cena. Good Job, WWE.

Outstanding!
Being a huge WWE fan as it is, I'm attempting to restrain myself from being bias here, but here goes ... This, to be quite frank, is the kind of game WWE fans, or any brand of wrestling fans for that matter, live for. It is, without a doubt, the best wrestling game, if not the best game, I have ever played. The last few WWE games, I'm afraid to say, haven't been great. They've been pretty good, but not great. But this ... this blows every other WWE game out of the water! First of all, I'm going to start with pretty much every average gamer looks at first - the graphics. The graphics are great, definately 10 times better than last years, and it's prett much the closest thing to life-like that wrestling games can bring, even better in HD! Secondly, the gameplay is fantastic in itself, and althought, I'll have to agree with some other people here, because the game's controls have been completely revamped and are completely different to any of the last few WWE games, it was a struggle to get used to, however after a couple of hours of play, I was already used to it. The moves in the game are also a lot more realistic than the last game, and ofcourse, we have new WWE superstars, divas and legends such as Kharma (DLC), Alberto Del Rio, Ax and Smash of Demolition, Sin Cara and more, and also we have superstars from previous games, such as the legendary John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, Shawn Michaels (DLC) and of course, how can I forget, The Undertaker, plus a load more. We have some new arenas, too, such as the Fatal-4-Way 2010 arena, the Money In The Bank 2010 arena, and the WrestleMania XXVII arena, updated from last year's WrestleMania XXVI arena, plus some more. Also, we have updated arenas from the last game, such as updated WWE RAW and SmackDown arenas, the Royal Rumble arena, Extreme Rules, Elimination Chamber, Tribute To The Troops, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and some others. Also, we have some new title belts, such as the new Unified WWE Tag Team Championship belts, and also some belts which are included in the Road To WrestleMania modes, aswell as others, such as the WWE Light Heavyweight Championship, the WWF (Attitude Era) WWE Championship belt and others, and we also have belt from the last game, obvious ones invlude the WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, Intercontinental Championship and more, plus titles such as the Hardcore Championship and Cruiserweight Championship. The new WWE Universe 2.0 mode is great, and far better than WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2011's WWE Universe mode. There are new cut-scenes, more realistic storylines and rivalries, and even a mode where you can play as the Royal Rumbe winner and choose the champion you want to face at WrestleMania! This year's Road To WrestleMania modes are also far better. Although this version does not include the ability to roam around backstage, it is a 3 part story( Part 1 - Villain, Part 2 - Outsider, Part 3 - Hero), in which you play as 3 different superstars, Sheamus, Triple H and your own created character, Jacob Cass, and is designed to seem like it lasts a long time. Unlike the last WWE Universe mode, this is unrepetitive, and is a lot more fun to play. Finally, the "Create A Superstar" mode is new, with new options and updated clothing, moves etc. All in all, an amazing game. Bring on WWE '13!
