Wallace & Gromit - Project Zoo (PC)

Wallace and Gromit is an exciting arcade platform adventure where you have to liberate the zoo from the evil clutches of the maniacal Feathers. Feathers wants to make diamonds. Lots of diamonds. And he’ll stop at nothing to achieve his dream.

The diabolical penguin has imprisoned all the baby animals in order to persuade their parents to do his work and manufacture gems from the coal being mined using the incredible diamond-o-matic. Wallace and Gromit have smelled the fishy presence of Feathers and get into the zoo to begin their amazing adventure.

You directly control Gromit with Wallace providing hints and humorous interjections. Gromit has to rescue all the 24 animal babies within each level and boss level in order to remove Feathers’ iron hold over the adults.

You achieve this by solving game puzzles and ultimately releasing each baby. Along the way contraption parts must be located so that Wallace can develop the ingenious invention described in the Act blueprint. Wallace’s clever creation is required to attempt the level bosses.

The Characters:

Gromit - Gromit is a dog of rare intellect, patience and sensitivity. Although he cannot talk, his distinctive expressions leave us in no doubt as to his thoughts and feelings. In this game – he WILL surprise and charm any gamer – he is the coolest action hero this side of Preston

Wallace - Wallace is an unassuming if slightly eccentric inventor who likes cheese on his crackers, tea, Bordeaux, toast and porridge.

He’s kind-hearted and homely, but doesn’t mind the odd adventure with his long-suffering canine companion, Gromit.

Feathers - Feathers is Wallace & Gromit’s nemesis. In true Bond fashion Feathers will adopt the evil villains role having all the trappings associated with a penguin of that status.

Archie - Feathers has decided to keep this adorable polar bear as a pet, but he’s Wallace and Gromit’s main motivation for freeing the zoo, so keep him in sight!

Zoo Keepers - Zoo Keepers will be present in key locations. Wallace and Gromit will have to use stealth and cunning to escape them..

Monkeys - Mischievous monkeys will be distributed throughout the scenes. They will throw objects such as coconuts and rocks at you that can cause damage!

Clockwork Penguins - Little clockwork penguins, notionally taken from the Zoo souvenir shop and modified by Feathers, will be distributed throughout the scenes, attacking players where they least expect it.

Zoo Animals - Animals are working for Feathers because their children are being held captive throughout the game. Whilst they are generally mild mannered, they must do what Feathers asks in order to keep their babies safe. Once their babies are free however, well… that’s a different matter.

Collectables - To spice things up there are a whole host of bits and bobs to collect as you zoom through the game. It’s worth your while to take the time to grab these items, they’ll open up new worlds!

Tools: The tool collectable will be required for Wallace to build or fix the contraption for each act end, or to progress past certain points within the game. A set number of tools will be scattered throughout the level for the player to find.

Zoo Tokens: There will also be Zoo Tokens scattered around the levels. These will be much harder to collect, and will be entirely optional. Some will be easy to find, others will be fiendishly difficult. They may be hidden, or yielded by completing sub-games within the levels. These tokens will increase the amount of tasks to do, and hence the amount of time the player spends in each area.

Nuts and bolts are nice, shiny, spinning collectables that are liberally distributed throughout the levels. There will be a large number within each Level. They are the base collectable and should be gathered at all costs.

Cheese will be located at key stages throughout the location, usually hidden in objects such as boxes. We all know how much Wallace and Gromit love their cheese. This is Gromit’s Health.

Ammo Crates & Vending Machines: Ammunition for the various weapons can be found in crates and vending machines throughout the levels.

Zoo Tokens: An entirely optional collectable, they will be given to the player for reaching certain goals or completing sub-games.
