TRON: Evolution is one of the keys to unlocking the TRON mythology. The game's story takes place before the TRON: Legacy events and provides insight into the film's past. As an integrated entertainment experience, the film will reference elements of the game's story. Fans will want to play the game to learn more about the TRON mythology seen in the film, but each entertainment experience will stand on its own.

    TRON: Evolution cast revealed

    Looking forward to going to see TRON: Legacy at the cinema? We can't wait. We got to see ten minutes of the film in 3D a few weeks back, and it's looking incredible. The game's looking rather good, too. TRON: Evolution slots in between the first film and Legacy, and Disney has just announced that key members of Legacy's cast will be on acting duties in the game.

    So if you're a fan of Bruce Boxleitner, who was TRON in the original film (and turned up in Babylon 5 too), you'll be happy. He's back for the game when it comes to vocal performances. So's Olivia Wilde, who's a star of the latest film. She was in The O.C. and House, and she'll be playing Quorra.

    She's quite excited about it, by the sounds of it. "Quorra is a strong memorable character in the film and the opportunity to represent her in the videogame was really important to assure consistency for telling her story," Wilde said. "Being in both TRON: Legacy and the TRON: Evolution videogames is incredible."

    TRON: Evolution is looking pretty special: a blend of combat and gymnastic platforming with Light Cycle racing and a deep range of multiplayer modes. It's hitting - deep breath - the PC, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii and DS on 26th November.
