Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Patriots announced for 2013
Ubisoft has announced that the popular Rainbow Six franchise is set to make its long-awaited return in 2013.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Patriots is now in development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and will once again involve players in the world of high-tech counter-terrorism operations.
An immersive core single-player experience will see gamers fighting against a revolutionary organisation bent on overthrowing the US government, with first-person gameplay presented from multiple character perspectives.
Rainbow 6 Patriots will also offer a variety of cooperative multiplayer modes and options, which will challenge players to coordinate tactics and work as a team to accomplish their objectives.
David Sears, creative director at Ubisoft, said: 'Terrorism has evolved and so has Rainbow 6 ... All the team play, tactics, and realism that fans of the series love have been coupled with an exciting new narrative direction.'
Rainbow 6 Patriots will be the first new instalment in the series since the launch of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 back in 2008.
