The Lost Crown - A Ghost Hunting Adventure
The name of this game, first drew my attention, because I'm currently writing a chidren's fairytale, with exactly the same name! But the game is nothing like my wishy-washy fairytale, and I have to give it 10 out of 10 for spooky atmosphere! There are plenty of ghosts to make your hair stand on end, and some twists that are quite poignant! I was kept guessing throughout the game, as to how it would conclude, unlike some games I've played, where I've guessed the middle and end! However, I felt that the voice acting left a little to be desired, as on times it sounded like I was in an English remedial class, as some of the characters obviously didn't rehearse or even read their lines beforehand, and sounded like they didn't know whether their dialogues were statements or questions! And the Welsh character, Rhys, was very stereotypical, saying things like "Boyo!! He also didn't know how to pronounce his name, and introduced himself as "Rice", not Rhees! Nonetheless, it was a

I wasn't sure what to expect from this game, The Lost Crown, but it turns out to be one of my best game purchases, ever! It's certainly unusual, with a very distinctive presentation, and features a great (ghost) story, set on the foggy coast of England. I've never played many detective style games before, so delighted in poking through peoples homes, secret places and long forgotten archaeological sites, on my mission to find The Lost Crown. It's a spooky game, well worth the money, and is sure to surprise and delight those who like to think a little during their playtime, and get to the bottom of the greatest mysteries.

The Lost Crown - A Ghost Hunting Adventure
The Lost Crown is a great, ghost-hunting adventure game for the PC. Fans of the classic ghost story or British Horror films, like The Wickerman or the Hammer classics, will love spotting references and soaking up the atmosphere the game provides during its 30+ hours of gameplay (a bargain at this price!). The puzzles are nice too, with most based either in modern-day ghost-hunting or logical real-world dilemmas. Being an adventure game means the styling is quite specific - the game is point-and-click driven, using the mouse, and there are few 'action' scenes to keep trigger fingers happy, but, if you are looking for something to really get into, and explore, The Lost Crown is perfect.
