  • Tales of Graces F coming to PlayStation 3 next summer

Namco Bandai has revealed that the newest instalment of its Tales of... series, Tales of Graces F, will be coming to PlayStation 3 next summer.

The game is the first in the beloved franchise to be released on Sony's console and is an enhanced version of the original Wii title Tales of Graces, which was released to great acclaim only in Japan in 2009.

Tales of Graces F chronicles an epic conflict between three kingdoms, following hero Asbel Lhrant and his friends on an amazing quest that will defy their expectations and test the bonds between them.

It features a revamped real-time battle system that lets players change their combat style and weaponry on the fly, bringing new flexibility, accessibility and tactical depth to skirmishes.

The game features the same amazing visuals for which Namco Tales Studio is known, with rich character designs provided by the acclaimed Mutsumi Inomata.

This follows the recent release of Tales of the Abyss on Nintendo 3DS, a previous instalment in the franchise that was originally released on PlayStation 2 but has only now made its European debut.

  • Wizarbox and Reef Entertainment have revealed details of their newest point-and-click adventure game, Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle, which will hit stores in the fourth quarter of 2011.

The old-school graphic adventure is being developed for PlayStation 3, PC, Wii and Nintendo DS and is the brainchild of Steve Ince, the writer of acclaimed games such as Broken Sword and So Blonde.

It tells the exciting story of Morgane Castillo, the young daughter of a famous pirate captain, chronicling her path to becoming a feared and respected buccaneer in her own right.

She is hired by a merchant to seek out a lost treasure called the Golden Turtle and embarks on a quest that will transport players to five beautifully-rendered islands, meeting memorable characters and solving perplexing puzzles en route.

The game features high-definition visuals on PlayStation 3 and PC, while motion control support is offered on the PlayStation 3 and Wii versions.

Adventure gaming has made a real comeback in recent years, thanks to the release of titles such as Tales of Monkey Island and Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse.

Monkey Island 10/10
I've been a huge Monkey Isladn fan since I was 5 (I'm 14 now) and Tales is an exciting addition to the series! It had amazing graphics, more memorable quotes and is packed with exciting puzzles! I've played the 1st chapter on PC, then bought the series as a download on PS3 - It's worth it, even if you are new to the series!
