Super Scribblenauts Product Details

Released on 29/10/2010

In this new game created and developed by 5TH Cell, players use the stylus and touch screen to help Maxwell, the game's hero, acquire the "Starite," the prize earned from solving the puzzle in even more robust challenges and redesigned levels. Players now have the ability to write any object that comes to mind and modify it in any way they desire using adjectives to reach the goal in each level. Adjectives can change the colour, size, elements, behaviours and many other aspects of the object they are describing. Multiple adjectives can be combined together to produce incredibly creative objects, allowing the player's imagination to run wild for a truly unique and individualistic experience.

  • Scribblenauts gets DS sequel

Scribblenauts is one of those games that seems to come dangerously close to being actually powered by magic. Write a noun onto the DS's touch screen, and the object appears in the game, allowing you to solve all manner of puzzle and platforming challenges.

Well, if you ever wrote down "sequel", your wish just got granted. Warner Bros. has formally announced that Super Scribblenauts is under development for Nintendo's handheld.

According to Eurogamer, the game will be due this autumn, and allows players to add adjective modifiers to the nouns in the games. You'll be able to use multiple adjectives, too, meaning that you can have gentlemanly, flaming elephants, or purple, obese zombies.

5th Cell, the game's creator, promises upgraded controls, more robust challenges, and some redesigned levels. It looks like the dinky patchwork art style of the original survives, however, which is no bad thing.

If you can't wait until autumn to see what the fuss is about, the original Scribblenauts is still available for the DS. If you're a fan, you might want to check out 5th Cell's brilliant DS platformer Drawn To Life, too - it allows you to design all the in-game objects.

  • Super Scribblenauts hits shelves today

We don't normally write news about games that are coming out this week, but Super Scribblenauts for the DS is just too good to miss out on. 5th Cell's follow-up to 2008's Scribblenauts is the best fun we've had with Nintendo's handheld in quite a while, and if you're going to the shops, you should really think about giving it a look.

Super Scribblenauts is a very open-ended puzzle game with an astonishing twist. Players are presented with various scenarios to complete - maybe a cat is stuck in a tree, or a man is stuck in traffic - and to solve the problem they're faced with, they can conjure up any item they want by typing in the word and watching it magically appear.

It's amazing to watch, and with Super Scribblenauts, it all gets a bit more elaborate. As in the first game, you'll be able to call up objects or animals at the tap of a few buttons. This time, however, you can add adjectives as well as nouns. So if you want a sofa, why not make it a red, flying sofa that's also on fire?

Super Scribblenauts is very nearly magic, in other words. It's released today as a DS exclusive.

Really good price now for a wicked game.
Super Scribblenauts is a very clever game that kept 3 generations of our family quite busily working out what to do to solve each puzzle in different ways. You can use practically any words to bring to life an object that will help you. If you need to get something from the top of a tree you could type "ladder" to climb it, or "bomb" to break it or "brontosaurus" to climb up it and jump off its head etc. Yes a really fun, sometimes frustrating puzzle game that has something for everyone.

Super Scribblenauts
It probably will. It doesn't have anything for just over 12's in but it is rated that age because it has lots of words and reading which also involves solving things out using lots of words from the dictionary. You may need to know more advanced words to well with this game. But i think it would be probably alright.
