Monsters, traps and secrets await underground in Spelunky!

Originally released for PC in 2008, the Xbox LIVE version of Spelunky arrives with spruced up graphics, music and controls, as well as tweaks to the zones, monsters, items and other in-game stuff – so even if you've played it before, you won't have played it quite like this!

At its heart, though, Spelunky is still the same pitfall-filled platformer with many, many levels for you to navigate, and many monsters, traps and other threats awaiting in every one. You can pick up and use - or toss - practically everything you come across and the levels are fully destructible. But sadly so are you, and dying in Spelunky can be quick and painful.

But that's part of the fun – each time you restart the game, you'll play a new, randomly-generated set of levels! It will feel fresh and exciting, and you'll have to think on your feet.

But even with this randomisation, the core gameplay remains the same, and you'll be able to expand your skills, getting good enough to not only survive the game, but to beat it, and discover some of its most mysterious secrets.

There's also co-op and deathmatch multiplayer modes, where you can either work together and help each other explore and survive – or destroy each other in fast-paced combat!
