Sonic and the Black Knight Product Details

Released on 13/03/2009

Sonic returns to the Nintendo Wii to take a wild ride through the storybook world of Camelot in his all-new adventure Sonic and the Black Knight. Designed exclusively for the Wii, Sonic and the Black Knight brings a new twist to Sonic gameplay by combining Sonic’s legendary speed with frenetic swordplay action that makes full use of the unique Wii control system.

After reading a storybook of the Knights of the Round Table, Sonic finds himself alone in a strange and enchanted world that he soon learns is threatened by a sinister and growing force. He is befriended by the grand-daughter of the legendary wizard Merlin, who asks him to harness the power of the magic sword Caliburn to fight the underworld knights and unravel the mystery of the new villain who has suddenly appeared to seize Camelot.

  • Hope you remembered to bake a cake: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega ever-young platforming mascot, hits his 20th birthday this week.

Two decades of Sonic! And it only seems like yesterday that we first saw him speeding through rings, racing off the edge of the screen, and trouncing Dr Robotnik back on the Sega Megadrive.

Since then, Sonic been a fixture of almost every games console going and it can be too long before we see him turning up on the 3DS, The PlayStation Vita, and the Wii U.

Created by Yuji Naka back in the early 1990s, Sonic was Sega attempt to rival Nintendo Super Mario, and while the plumber remains a classic in his own right, Sonic hasn done too badly for himself, giving platform fans everywhere a taste for fast-paced action and colourful levels.

Sega hero shows no signs of slowing down either no pun intended. Later this year, Sonic Generations will be hitting the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, and Nintendo 3DS. It promises to blend elements from Sonic 2D origins with his later 3D adventures, and the word on the street is that it one of the best Sonic games Sega has seen in years. Here to the next 20, Sonic!

Sonic and the Black Knight
I would have to say this game is OK. First of all i LOVE DA SOUNDTRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! secondly i think that the adventure mode can be improved. It is the shortest sonic game i have ever played. Battle mode is boring because you can not actually race and you r confined into a small space. GET UNLEASHED

Sonic's third entry onto the Wii is without a doubt a enjoyable game, the sword mechanics work well and the main story, although being at least 3 hours long, is involving, even after finishing the main story the number of extra missions to complete expand the games lifespan. The graphics are definately brilliant and the Battle mode is addictive. The only problem I see with this game is that the Gallery looks unfinished and it can get annoying completing a hard mission and getting nothing in return. Anyways, this is still an essential game for Sonic fans and shouldn't be ignored.
