Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific
This game is terrible, i dont know why it has got such a high rating. I bought the game and it is full of bugs. Game keeps freezing, slowing, sound jumping, crashing and slowing my computer. I need to keep rebooti the pc every time it crashes. VERY annoying. Dont wast your money on it. Buy Silent Hunter 3, its much better and doesnt have all the problems. A big disappointment!

Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific
I have been a fan of Silent Hunter for years and number 4 is really just more of the same. There are some improvements in the crew management features and the development of your crew but there is really very little in terms of new features, and there is certainly nothing revolutionary. I am not sure that there is enough to really recommend people actually buying this one.
There is nothing actively wrong with this game - it is a small improvement on SH3 in terms of gameplay - but I feel that it only deserves 3 stars because the setting just does not work. By setting the game in the Pacific - presumably purely to appeal to the US market - they set the game in an absolutely ENORMOUS environment, to complete a patrol takes absolutely ages because the distances involved are so huge. Taking absolutely hours to travel from A to B (constantly diving because there are enemy aircraft EVERYWHERE) gets boring incredibly quickly and totally undermine the enjoyment of the game.
