Rock Band 3 tuning up for October release
According to Eurogamer, it looks like you can expect to be playing Rock Band 3 on October 29. The latest game from Harmonix and MTV is settling for a Halloween release date in order to avoid the Christmas rush.
That's pretty good new for music fans, then. Even better is the fact that Rock Band 3 is looking fantastic, and promises to move the music game genre forward significantly with a range of new features.
Not only will the new game come with a keyboard peripheral to go alongside the existing drums, microphones, and guitars, it supports bands of up to seven people, and offers a goal-based story career mode, with drop-in, drop-out gameplay.
And if you're itching to develop your skills, the game has a six-stringed guitar and a Pro mode, to actually teach you to play the instrument for real. Is this the future of music tuition? Who cares! It promises to be a blast anyway.
Rock Band 3 is in development for the DS, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. Expect more information on this one the moment we get it.
