Pandora's Tower Limited Edition

In Pandora’s Tower you take on the role of Aeron, a soldier, as he battles to save his beloved friend Elena from a mysterious curse that is gradually transforming her into a demonic creature. Only by battling through the towers of a nearby fortress can Aeron save her from her gruesome fate. Using his sword and the magical Oraclos Chain, Aeron must defeat the creatures that lurk there and harvest their meat to feed to Elena. Only by eating all of the “master flesh”, harvested from the largest monsters within each tower, will Elena be fully cured of the curse and free from its monstrous grip.

By returning to Elena to feed her meat from the smaller monsters, you can slow down the transformation - but only temporarily. You will need to carefully judge when it is best to return to her, as not coming back in time could lead to Elena’s permanent transformation into a demonic beast.

Multiple possible endings and a New Game+ mode means that Pandora’s Tower has great replay value and by mastering the unique relationship system you can change Aeron and Elena’s fate. You must not only decide when to return to Elena to stem the tide of her curse, but also what items to give to her. After spending time speaking to her you will become more familiar with her plight and leaving her to continue your quest may become more difficult.
Taking the time to build a bond with Elena could even change the ultimate ending of the story.

While exploring the labyrinthine towers you’ll come across a wide variety of items. Mavda, a mysterious travelling merchant who can upgrade your weapons, can create special new items by combining two or more items that you have found on your journey. The items that you have discovered while exploring the towers can be given to Elena as gifts to strengthen your bond or be used to help you on your quest to battle the 13 masters – the choice is yours.

Pandora’s Tower features an epic storyline with multiple endings affected by the decisions you make. Explore thirteen challenging towers on a mission to save your friend, set to a powerful soundtrack consisting of some of the most popular classical music in the world, including composers such as Verdi and Tchaikovsky. Every decision you make will affect your ultimate success. The choice is yours.

A dark & Macabre Adeventure
A good hack & slash with innovative bosses & varied enemy design ranging from ankle biting grunt like enemies to giant wasps, birds & large moths to big bruiser ogre type beasts some of which will carry swords or heavy mace like weaponry which can be swung at you. Your chain can be used to bind beats together or throw them about or swing them around with nunchuck. Once beasts are dispatched you rip off monster flesh (via pointing with your remote) to give Elena back the observatory, Vegetarians beware look away now, once Elena is given the monster flesh to curb the effects of the curse, She’ll eat it a grisly fashion which only gets more gruesome the further you progress by doing this it gives you more time to unlock the door for the towers boss (master) or other items you can get from monsters or from inside the towers can be made in medicine or upgrades for weapons via mavada she’ll give info on the 13 towers & buy any spare flesh. Flesh can’t stored as it will dry out & useless making it a constant race against time to stop Elena mutating into a beast. The more you bond with Elena, through giving her monster flesh & master flesh as well as other gifts flowers, jewellery etc. the more your affinity will grow (similar to xenoblade) this will inevitable affect the one of 5 endings ranking from rank S best ending to Rank D worst ending. She can also translate lore’s you find in the towers which fill back story of the towers these can then be sold to mavada all of which can be read in the menu. The down side is Players may find the whole bonding & constant feeding of flesh a chore & repetitive. The camera is so far out a times it’s easy to miss high areas where you need to hook onto with your chain also is the beasts will often go out of view making it difficult to keep up with them. Voice acting is good another British cast, (like xenoblade) Elena apparently 18 sounds more like 13 or 16 year old, she has sweet & caring nature yet also an eerie sense of disconcertedness. Which can be seen through the brief breaks games in gameplay through event scenes players will either grow to like her or as I did or find her winey & irritating. Aeron has very little “spoken” dialogue, most of the time his dialogue is just written text with no voice acting unlike mavada & Elena , making him feel distant to players even aloof. Mavada the creepy old woman & the big gourd her back being her husband who leads you to the towers, fills you in the back story as to the towers she sounds like a witch with her creepy cackling laugh hehehe. I wasn’t usre of their exact accents but very posh. Towers are large with varying elemental themes fire water wood etc. beautifully animated cinematics make this a dark macabre adventure for a more mature. I highly recommend the special edition pack as it has beautifully illustrated artwork & steel case If you van overlook its faults then you’ll find this a keeper.
