Official Nintendo Wii Remote Product Details
Released on 08/12/2006
Sporting the size of a traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote controller is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designer's imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on.
Using Bluetooth technology, the wireless Wii Remote controller sends your actions to the Wii console from as far as 30 feet away. As a pointing device, the controller can send a signal from as far as 15 feet away. Up to four Wii Remote Controllers can be connected at once, making for some great multiplayer fun!
In addition to its pointing and motion-sensing abilities, the Wii Remote controller also includes a speaker and expansion port for additional input devices, such as the Nunchuk controller.

Nintendo new controller comes with a camera?
E3 is almost on us we can wait until the first week of June but we couldn resist one more rumour about Nintendo new home console, currently code-named Project Caf Apparently, the console controller will have a camera on it.
Sounds fascinating. The report comes via Eurogamer from a secret source speaking to Develop Online. It seems that the camera will take in-game pictures, and there already plenty of speculation that it may be used for augmented reality games, like the ones that come installed on Nintendo 3DS handheld.
The source also added that the controller has a six-inch touch-screen, and that it may use a stylus. It definitely has good old buttons too, though.
Sounds like the 3DS? Develop source agrees. "The functions are the same. It is a standard wireless controller added with a front-facing camera and touch screen," they said. "That sounds far too much like a 3DS to me. But I can't confirm this, Nintendo is being very cautious about the details."
Wel get to hear the full story at E3 very soon, but for the time being, this is shaping up to be a fascinating console, and a worthy successor to the Nintendo Wii. More on this within the fortnight!
