Nintendo’s Wii MotionPlus

Quicker, faster, more accurate control

The Wii MotionPlus is a revolutionary new device that attaches to the end of your Wii Remote for enhanced motion control. In short, it supercharges Wii Remote’s sensor capabilities. With MotionPlus, the slightest movement is accurately represented on screen down to the millisecond giving you a more realistic and enjoyable gaming experience.

Time to get up off the sofa!

Whether you’re boxing on Wii Sports, flinging a frisbee on Wii Sports Resort, adding some topspin to your serve in Virtua Tennis 2009 or teeing off in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, the Wii MotionPlus requires you to do more than just flick your wrist. Its super sensitive tracking picks up even the smallest nuances, which means you have to act out the in-game movements more accurately than ever before. The Wii MotionPlus is also compatible with Grand Slam Tennis.

Wii MotionPlus features:

  • Near perfect 1:1 motion
  • Nunchuck compatible
  • Simply clips on to Wii Remote

Wii MotionPlus is compatible with the following games:

  • Virtua Tennis 2009
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10
  • Grand Slam Tennis
  • Wii Sports Resort
  • Red Steel 2

Wii Remote not included.

  • The COO of Electronic Arts has come out in defence of Nintendo's new console, declaring its tablet-style control to be more important to future gaming than graphical perfection.

Speaking in an interview with Industry Gamers, Peter Moore pointed to EA's own upcoming blockbuster Battlefield 3 as an example of how little room for improvement there is where visuals are concerned. ow much better could this stuff look at some point? There a point of diminishing returns. I don even know if there anything better than 1080p./p>

And if Moore's predictions are accurate, expect future games consoles to concentrate more on control and community features rather than how many polygons they can throw at your face.

ow it about interfaces...Youe seen that with Move, youe seen it with Wii MotionPlus more recently, and youe certainly seen it with Kinect he said. don know what Xbox and PlayStation plans for their next platforms are, but it not going to be hanging on graphic fidelity. I guarantee you that./p>

The Wii U is set for release worldwide in 2012.

I really like this and think that if your spending £32.99 on a wii remote you should definitely get this with it. You can connect a nunchuk (John Smith should purchase the product before he reviews it) and it comes with a longer wii jacket to incorporate it. Nintendo are definitely ahead of the curve in gaming innovation and whether or not Microsoft's 'Project Nasal' will 'wipe wii of their feet' doesn't matter because Nintendo were there first and Microsoft are still in the development stage a year and a bit on. And if Mark Treadwell is correct, then it would seem that Microsoft's Project should really be called 'XBox EyeToy'

We bought this with Sports resort and it really makes a difference with the control. You actually feel like you are doing the archery and the other sports controls are spot on. Well worth buying.

Its about time the Wii had 1:1 movement. This should improve gaming a lot. It still doesnt look as good as Sony's upcoming motion device but it looks much better than the Xbox 360 project Natal. Natal looks and feels rubbish as it uses cameras and not a physical to hold. You just wave your arms aimlessly like an idiot without any feedback. Nintendo and Sony have the right idea using controllers for motion control. Microsoft need to go back to the drawing board.
