Ubisoft's Michael Jackson game detailed
The King of Pop may no longer be with us, but his legend lives on in Ubisoft's Michael Jackson: The Experience, which the publisher has now confirmed will launch later this year.
The game will be released on multiple formats, with each version bringing something unique to the table. As reported by Eurogamer, the Wii version uses a similar template to Ubisoft's hugely successful Just Dance franchise, as players perform actions in time to famous Jackson songs, shaking their Wii remotes to the beat and striking poses.
The PlayStation 3 SKU will feature microphone support, allowing gamers to sing along to their favourite tracks. Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 version of the game features full support for Microsoft's Kinect peripheral, using the motion-sensing camera to transport the player into the game, using a method similar to that seen in the publisher's E3 demo of fitness title Your Shape. Kinect's voice recognition capabilities will also allow players to sing and dance simultaneously.
On handhelds, Ubisoft has opted for a familiar rhythm-action style, with gameplay reportedly similar to DS game Elite Beat Agents, as players tap numbered circles in order to perform dance moves with the correct timing.
It seems fans will be spoilt for choice when Michael Jackson: The Experience hits shelves this November.
