The game consists of 50 challenges that provide a fun way for children in school years 2 to 7 to learn and test their maths skills against friends as well as their parents. The challenges cover a wide range of maths topics, drawing on content from Key Stage 2 as well as the later end of Key Stage 1 and early stages of Key Stage 3. Education specialists have designed the game so that 7 year olds of all abilities will have something they can handle very easily, while advanced 12 year olds can also be suitably challenged.
Using a series of characters and fun scenarios, the game challenges children to complete different tasks suitable to their age and ability.
The scenarios in Maths Whizz cover the following maths topics:
- Numbers
- Addition & Subtraction
- Multiplication and Division
- Shape & Space and Measures
- Problem Solving
