  Nippon Ichi has announced that its role-playing sequel Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 will be coming to Europe in February 2012.

  Developed exclusively for PlayStation 3, the game sees players controlling female humanoid personifications of different videogame consoles, who must protect the world of Gamindustri from outside threats.

  Featuring a new cast of characters, the adventure follows the exploits of Nepgear, younger sister of the first game's heroine Neptune, as she seeks to defeat the evil villain Arfoire and rescue her sibling.

  Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 is set to feature a much-improved battle and combo system to provide a deeper and more strategic experience.

  As they explore Gamindustri, players will be able to craft their own items and battle it out in the Coliseum, while enjoying the game's risque humour and knowing jokes about videogame culture.

  The original Hyperdimension Neptunia was released last year and is developed by Japanese role-playing specialist Idea Factory.
