Shut the Box is one of the best traditional games ever devised.
This clever game of skill and fortune is primarily made up of two dice and nine numbered flaps. Players take it in turn to throw the dice and then close one or more flaps with a total value matching the combined value of the dice. For example if a player throws a five and a four, they could close either just the flap marked '9', or both the '5' and '4' or '6' and '3' or '2', '3' and '4' or any other combination. If a flap cannot be closed to the value of the dice, it moves to your opponent's turn. The aim of the game is to leave as few flaps open as possible.
