Portal 2 - Review
Portal 2 is a full-scale single-player game with a great story, and a separate co-op campaign for two players. It feels very much like Half-Life 2, as in it's a well-rounded, gripping science-fiction epic. Only in Portal 2 you're exploring, platforming and solving riddles rather than shooting at enemies.

Resistance 3 review
While Resistance 3 packs in all the fun alien blasting of its predecessors, this trilogy-closing blockbuster also features the best story in the series to date.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon - Review
Eighties nostalgia is big business, but you've never seen a game that so perfectly captures that decade like Ubisoft's bizarre shooter spin-off Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. This digital download is gaudy, foul-mouthed and over the top

Borderlands 2 - Review
Borderlands 2 doesn't mess too heavily with the successful formula established by the original back in 2009, delivering another customisation-heavy first-person shooter with the questing structure and customisation options of a role-playing game and a big emphasis on co-operative play.

It really is the strongest and most surprising Call of Duty game since the first Modern Warfare, and comes highly recommended to both fans and newcomers alike.

Crysis 2 - Review
Crysis 2 is a game that exhibits no less of the stunning visuals that defined its predecessor, but which is now playable not only on high-end PCs but also Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Brink - Review
Into the FPS market leaps Brink, a squad-based shooter in which a team of 8 players attempt to complete staggered objectives while an opposing team works to stop them. It's an entirely different sort of co-operative experience - a kind of Capture-The-Flag mode evolved into a full game.

Syndicate - Review
Syndicate's newly re-imagined sci-fi dystopia offers solid, challenging gunplay, impeccable production values and some clever, engaging narrative in a very cool world.

Twisted Metal - Review
It's been a decade since we've had a new Twisted Metal game, so chances are most players coming into this reboot will be rusty if not altogether new to the series. As such, Twisted Metal does little to lull debutants to its peculiar brand of vehicular combat, but those who persist through its complex controls will find an extremely deep revival of the genre.

Child of Eden - Review
A staggeringly pretty game filled with earthly shapes, space vistas and translucent creatures plucked from the depths of the ocean, which float across your field of vision. As with Rez, the music acts in concert with the visuals, and your bullets trigger sound effects that help the trance soundtrack heave and build to a series of protracted climaxes.

Binary Domain - Review
Binary Domain is a third-person shooter which puts players in the middle of a battle for humanity in robot-invaded Tokyo in the year 2080. You take control of an elite group of soldiers tasked with hunting down 'Hollow Children', machines that are indistinguishable from humans in terms of their outward physical appearances and actions, much like Terminators or Battlestar Galactica's Cylons.

The Darkness 2 Review
It's been five years since we last encountered The Darkness, but in The Darkness II, out now on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, only two years have passed since the events of the first game. Gangster Jackie Estacado is still playing host to a malevolent demonic entity, but he's managed to keep it under control
