Assassin's Creed III - Review
An astonishing achievement on a number of levels and represents the current pinnacle of the series' ambition. This is a different kind of adventure to that of Ezio, but it's no less brilliant. Buy it. Your history teacher will be impressed.

The Darkness 2 Review
It's been five years since we last encountered The Darkness, but in The Darkness II, out now on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, only two years have passed since the events of the first game. Gangster Jackie Estacado is still playing host to a malevolent demonic entity, but he's managed to keep it under control

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Review
The premise of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is titanic on a couple of fronts. A third-person action game taking place in a brutal, 41st millennium science fiction setting, it puts you in the shoes of Captain Titus, leader of the human Ultramarines, the Emperor's chosen armies in an ongoing battle for the survival of humanity.

Darksiders - Review
A new year brings new games to look forward to. Thankfully 2010 starts with a bang as Darksiders hits. Granted it's a game about the apocalypse with you facing the forces of Heaven and Hell as War, one of the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse, but what a way to start the New Year!

SAW - Review
Saw 'the game' takes place in-between the first and second films, before the never-ending plot became too deeply diversified. Playing as Detective Tapp (originally portrayed by Danny Glover in the first Saw film) you regain consciousness in an all too familiar 'trap' situation. Panic and button mashing ensues, and once free you can appreciate the clever puzzle to let you out of the room. It really does start off like something any Saw fan would want.

Sleeping Dogs - Review
Most open world games see you playing as either a cop or a criminal, but refreshingly Sleeping Dogs lets you do both. You take on the role of Wei Shen, a hardboiled cop who grew up in Hong Kong, trained to become a police officer in the US, and has now returned to his birthplace to rid the bustling, neon-lit streets of crime.

Prototype 2 - Review
Prototype 2 is, like it's lead character Sgt James Heller, an interesting beast. It picks up the action following the events of the first Prototype game, flinging you into a New York that has been sectioned off, quarantined and put under rather dubious surveillance following the outbreak of the Blacklight Virus seen in the original Prototype three years ago.

Dungeon Siege III - Review
Everything you need to know about co-op action RPG Dungeon Siege III is contained in the animation that plays when you open a chest. The lid flips open and a spray of gold and magic weapons is shot nine feet into the air like some heavy-duty party popper, before coming crashing down at your feet.

Max Payne 3 Review
The locations are brilliantly detailed - studiously assembled visions of a Sao Paolo favela, or the guts of a huge sports venue, or the inside of a rotting hotel that's been converted into a giant torture chamber - and as long as Max is diving around them in slow motion you should be having fun.
