Dynasty Warriors 6 PlayStation 3

This is truly Dynasty Warrior next gen. The graphics are once againg amazing and the new feature they have introducted such as swimming and climbing have added a new tactial exprience. However it does get a little bit repetitive because the campaign of each character is a bit short. However there are so many character they I don't care and it not a reason to not buy this game

I hate to say it but this game was a sore dissapointment, the graphics are an improvement but not much, given the PS3 format i expected a lot more and less lagging. Gameplay is repetative and only 17 characters have a mousou mode, Yuan Shao for instance has nothing despite his key participation. Custom officers are gone, as are bodyguards, elephents and you can no longer ride into battle on Red hare or any horse from the previous series. Some characters are missing from the gameplay including Jiang Wei who critically took control of Shu in it's later years. i was very dissapointed by the game with the only new additions being swimming and climbing and they are not worth the high cost for this game. I would adice any prospective gamer to think carefully before purchase, in my view DW4 and DW5 are still the zenith of Koei's Dynasty warrior achievement the game is rushed, short and given you can finish a musou mode in a few hours time, a waste of money. This was a poor job Koei.

At last a new DW for a new generation of gaming consoles, but sadly lacking in some parts. Now first off this is probably the best in the series yet for graphics, sounds, gameplay and style, since every character now has grapple moves to give that cool finishing move you need against Lu Bu or Cao Cao and a new level up system with a skill tree gives you a reson to keep playing. One major downside for me was that some of the older characters like Zhange He and Ma Chao, who were once unique in terms of weapons and attacks are simply clones of each other with the exact same moves. This goes for Diao Chan and Zhen Ji (both using whips), Yue Ying and Sun Shang Xiang (both using bows) and this sadly lets the game down a little, but I would still recommend this to any fan or gamer interested in this iteration of the series. If you ignore the clones which I am sure will be gone by DW7 then this game is well worth the cash, plenty of characters and levelling await as well as battles.

I have every single last Dynasty Warriors game there has been for the playstation Platform, And this one hits top marks! 10/10!!!! Graphics are once again amazing, game play is still the classic dynasty warriors styl (which im glad theyv kept!), and now new features have been added such as swimming and climing ect!If you have liked any previous Dynasty Warriors games, then this is a MUST buy!!!

I have all the series of DW since the days when they 1st started. This game is the top of the lot being in Next-Gen but it feels slow and awkard at times. The visuals are great and the animation of using weapons are very smooth but when you have a vast majority of enemies/allies on the screen the game slows down so much. Using a special attack in such areas causes this to and all fluidity simply disappears. The revamped charcter looks are good tho some changes in individual weapons are a disappointment. If u are a fan then i would recommend this to try but dont have high expectations - if you are not a fan save till the price is reduced in my opinion.
